Google Scholar

Are you a student looking for current health-related information that is trusted and up-to-date for a class project? Are you a parent looking to read the most current scholarly literature about a certain medical condition to gain a better understanding? Maybe you’re a healthcare provider who doesn’t want to spend hours searching all over the Internet or through books to find accurate answers to your health-related questions.

Google Scholar allows you to research thousands of free scholarly literature titles with complete ease. There are plenty of independent journals available for you to utilize on the Internet; however, they are sometimes difficult to find. Google Scholar makes the research process effortless—all of the titles are in one place right at your fingertips.

In addition, the Medical Staff Library at Hazleton General Hospital has made all of its electronic holdings in the library available to you through Google Scholar. What does this mean for you? You have free access to nearly 15,000 free scholarly titles. If a title appears that requires a username and password, please call Elaine Curry in the Medical Staff Library at 570-501-4800.
