Industrial Rehabilitation
The industrial rehabilitation team partners with local companies to reduce injuries, improve job site ergonomics, and provide education. Our industrial health team assesses potential injuries that could occur and works to prevent/decrease a lot of those injuries through education and training. Patients receive customized services based on their company’s work requirements.
Most of the services are provided at the Hazleton Health & Wellness Center where patients can benefit from the extensive support, equipment, and modalities available at the state-of-the-art facility. However, some of the services are available at the job site. The industrial rehabilitation team is committed to workplace wellness and provides the following services to meet the various health and safety needs of employers:
- Physical, occupational, and hand therapy
- Work conditioning
- Transitional work conditioning
- Ergonomic/job analysis
- Ergonomic/body mechanic evaluation
- Functional capacity evaluations
- Workstation evaluations/risk assessment
- Work simulation and reconditioning
- On-site employee education, such as proper body mechanics and stretching, job site modifications, and pre-placement evaluation
One quality that sets our industrial health apart from other facilities is connectivity throughout the organization. As part of the Alliance, we offer a variety of services conveniently located at the Wellness Center, including physical and occupational therapy, fitness specialists/exercise physiologists, and occupational health. In addition, we have the full resources of the hospital at our fingertips and experienced healthcare providers through our multi-specialty physician group, Hazleton Professional Services, for injured employees to follow-up with upon recovery.
