Industrial Rehabilitation
The industrial rehabilitation team partners with local companies to reduce injuries, improve job site ergonomics, and provide education. Most of the services are provided at the Hazleton Health & Wellness Center where patients can benefit from the extensive support, equipment, and modalities available at the facility; however specific services are available at the job site. Some of the industrial rehabilitation services provided include the following:
- Physical, occupational, and hand therapy
- Work conditioning
- Transitional work conditioning
- Ergonomic/job analysis
- Ergonomic/body mechanic evaluation
- Functional capacity evaluations
- Workstation evaluations/risk assessment
- Work simulation and reconditioning
- On-site employee education, such as proper body mechanics and stretching, job site modifications, and pre-placement evaluation
